How do the BikeSchool Modules work?

BikeSchool have designed 5 skill specific modules. The modules are in progressive order, and follow the optimal way for learning mountain bike skills. The content of all modules remains the same for all riders – it is the context that we adapt to match your riding skills and experience.

What shall I bring along to the course?

A bike, helmet and riding gloves in good working order. You are welcome to rent a 2019 GT Bike from us here at BikeSchool.

Personal riding equipment that you might like to put in your Camelbak such as: warm clothes, a jacket, fresh food and water, bike tubes, tools and personal medications.

You are welcome to store gear such as backpacks in our BikeSchool vehicle.

What is BikeSchool’s cancelation policy?

Cancelations or changes, made more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled session will incur an administration fee of $80.00.

Cancelations or changes, made between 48 and 24 hours prior to the scheduled session will incur an administration fee of $100.00.

Cancelations or changes, made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled session will not receive a refund.

In the unlikely occurrence that BikeSchool decide to cancel a course, a full refund will be given.

What if the weather is unfavourable?

Most sessions go ahead regardless of weather. We are fortunate enough to have tree cover at all of our coaching venues.

BikeSchool are very safety conscious, so in the off chance that the weather is horrible, a call will be made at least 2 hours prior to your session and emailed to you.

How many riders will be in the group session?

We keep to a ratio of 1 coach to every 6 riders. Our group courses are limited to a maximum of 12 riders.

If you book a one-on-one session, or make an exclusive booking you can decide and we will accommodate your desires.

Can I copy the BikeSchool teaching content?

Filming of BikeSchool courses and sessions is not permitted and is prohibited.

All techniques and information disclosed, imparted or shared by BikeSchool and BikeSchool assistants is the intellectual property of BikeSchool and is protected under New Zealand copyright laws. It is not to be used for commercial or other gain by any persons not approved by BikeSchool, or to further the development of persons who have not attended a BikeSchool course, session or module.
